The professional competencies in this assessment tool cover the specialist knowledge which

users have from their studies and jobs in a STEM industry.

ValiKom

The ValiKom method tries to identify, document, evaluate and certify professionally relevant

competences. It is aimed at people without a formal vocational qualification and the
procedure developed and tested in the ValiKom project enables the evaluation and

certification (validation) of occupation-relevant competences.

Following the procedure, a certificate is issued by a Chamber of Crafts, a Chamber of
Industry and Commerce or a Chamber of Agriculture.

ValiKom uses a method mix in order to use the advantages of common methods and to
compensate their disadvantages.
