2. Create your study space: Make sure you arrange your study space in a well-lit and quiet
area at your home and it is free from distractions. Arranging a suitable place will motivate you
better.
3. Set realistic goals: In order to reach your final goal, passing the class, you need to take
some steps. When you set small goals in your classes, you will be more motivated because
you will be able to complete these goals easily. Hence, setting up small goals and moving on
to the next goal will contribute to your motivation.
4. Plan your study time: Schedule your tasks, classes and free time so that you will be
motivated to finish tasks in time. Having a balanced schedule will keep your motivation high
because you will be able to have time for your studies as well as for your social life. Having a
planned study time will ensure that your motivation will increase with each achievement and
you will stay on track.
5. Stay connected: Keep in touch with your peers and teachers via different channels not to
feel isolated. This way, you will feel more engaged and connected and your motivation will
increase.
6. Take good care of yourself: Physical and mental health are crucial for motivation. Be
mindful about your sleep, nutrition and exercise. When you are healthier in mind and body,
your studies will improve and it will reflect in your motivation.
7. Take action, participate, and keep yourself on track: Know your what your best
learning settings look like and proactively turn off or minimize your distractions
(including your mobile phone, music, etc.).
8. Engage and Read: Be sure to read all of your teachers’ emails, announcements, and
communications. Often these will contain important deadlines, to dos,
assignment instructions, etc.
