6.4. HOW TO INCREASE MOTIVATION?
-Set a goal: Think about what you want to achieve next week, next month, and next year. If
you have a goal, you can strive to achieve that goal and you can be more motivated.
-Review your goals and progress regularly: Seeing progress is a great motivator in itself and
builds self-confidence.
-Go after your goals. For example, do a job you love or do an exercise you enjoy.
-Use intrinsic motivation
-Use social support: Social support can increase motivation.
-Spend time with positive people. They can also help you stay positive and increase your
motivation.
-Set rewards: Incentives are like mini-goals and increase motivation. Sometimes, however,
incentives can get in the way of the real purpose. So, you may have worked out just to eat
chocolate. Also, vague incentives can be more motivating than specific ones.
-Use exercise as one of your daily goals to improve your mental health. Exercising can also
make you feel better and increase your motivation.

6.5. STAYING MOTIVATED IN ONLINE EDUCATION
Most of the online students have problems related to motivation. Since social aspects are
lacking in online education, the students feel isolated and lonely which contributes to loss of
motivation. Below you can find some tips to stay motivated during online education:
1.Turn on your camera during classes: By turning on your camera during classes, you can
connect with your friends and strengten your social relationships. Letting others see during
class you increases your engagement and productivity and hence your motivation to keep up.
You pay more attention and are more engaged when you know that others can see you.
