               6.2. TYPES OF MOTIVATION:

               a) Intrinsic Motivation: It refers to the behavior that originates from within the individual,
               without any reward or coercion. For example, people who are intrinsically motivated to run

               do so because they love the feeling of running, and it is an important part of their identity.
               b)  Extrinsic  Motivation:  It  refers  to  behavior  that  is  driven  by  external  rewards  such  as

               money,  fame,  or  praise,  as  opposed  to  motivation  stemming  from  within  the  individual.

               Everything that is promised to complete the task or received as a result of task completion are
               extrinsic motivators.



               6.3. CAUSES OF LOW MOTIVATION IN LEARNING
               Eight possible reasons are listed for students’ low motivation towards the lessons. (Gregory &

               Kaufeldt, 2015);
               -Technology

               -Immediate gratification
               -Apathy

               -Lack of relevance to the real world

               -Fixed mindsets about one’s ability
               -Poverty

               -Social isolation
               -Stress and perceived threat
