Innovative practices are clearly needed today in the digital era to support educators, educational leaders and support staff and the uptake of innovative approaches and digital technologies for teaching and learning should be strengthened to keep up with the requirements in the changing educational panorama of the world due to the pandemic. Adjust your school to the challenges of modern, Digital vocational (ADE) Project (2020-1-TR01-KA226-VET-098418), submitted within the framework of KA2 – Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices/KA226 – Partnerships for Digital Education Readiness, includes partners from Turkey (İBAMTAL and BOLU MEM), Poland (CWEP), Spain (Sea Teach S.L.) and Bulgaria (SDRUDZENIE ZNAM I MOGA).
The project aims to contribute to maintaining the continuity of VET in the field of tourism by introducing digital VET opportunities by developing a set of guides for digital vocational education in the tourism sector for administrators, teachers, students and their parents by presenting digital solutions to physical and architectural challenges, breaking down qualification barriers in digital vocational teaching and allowing social and cultural adaptation to digital learning. In addition, the project will develop Virtual ADE advisor – an individualized space for improving digital qualifications of vocational teachers with its interactive content in vocational education-teacher training course; with Individualized paths depending on the initial qualifications of the teacher and with a virtual Q&A space and sub-spaces for exchanging good solutions and lesson plans according to different vocational subjects and other subjects taught at the school.
By encompassing all relevant parties in VET school education from administration to teachers to students and parents, the project will also consult stakeholders in VET during material and strategy development. The project results will be shared with wider audiences in education, VET and tourism and expected to bring a new voice to the world of VET.
